Es ist schon einige Zeit her, dass Google seine Voice-App zum Review für den AppStore eingesendet hat. Die App wurde bisher aber noch nicht freigegeben – offizielle Begründung von Apple ist die “Duplizierung von iPhone OS Funktionen”.
Allerdings gibt es offiziell noch keine eigene VoIP-App von Apple.

Dem Newsservice Gizmodo ist zu entnehmen, dass Apple wieder einmal auf Einkaufstour ist: Die Kaufverhandlung mit dem VoIP-Service iCall sind bereits im Gang, der Kaufpreis wird auf 50 bis 60 Millionen US-Dollar geschätzt.
Es liegt daher der Schluss nahe, dass Apple bereits plant, iCall als hauseigene Voice-over-IP-Applikation aufs iPhone bringen möchte.
