Apple hat aktuellen Berichten zufolge den Hersteller von Kameras, die für das iPad 2 verwendet werden sollen, bestimmt: „Largan Precision“ soll demzufolge die Kameramodule produzieren, wollte aber auf Anfrage (naturgemäß) nicht auf die Gerüchte eingehen.
“Largan Precision has declined to comment on market rumors indicating the company will be the sole lens module supplier for Apple's upcoming iPad 2 tablet with shipments to kick off in the first quarter of 2011, according to a company filing with the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE).”
Largan Precision wurde laut DigiTimes bereits für die Fertigung der iPhone 4 5-MP-Kameras beauftragt.
