Wer auf einen Unlock angewiesen ist, sollte wie immer nicht updaten. Das selbe gilt vorerst für künftige iPad 2 Jailbreaker.

MuscleNerd rechnet allerdings nicht damit, dass comex‘ bislang unveröffentlichter iPad 2 Jailbreak Exploit bereits geschlossen ist. Eine Bestätigung von comex steht aber noch aus.
It's very unlikely they fixed the bug in comex's unreleased iPad2 jailbreak, but you never know. Better to wait for confirmation first.

@jawad6 they shouldn't have any knowledge about his specific hole, but they do sometimes fix holes on their own too
Weil das relativ kleine iOS-Update nicht zusammen mit einer neuen Baseband-Version ausgeliefert wird, sollte ein Update auf iOS 4.3.1 unproblematisch sein, wenn man vorher iOS 4.2.1 SHSH-Sicherungen erstellt und nicht auf einen Unlock angewiesen ist.
@MuscleNerd How about iPhone 4? I'm only interested in being able to jailbreak at some point – unlock not necessary.
@edma as long as you're sure you have your 4.2.1 SHSHs, and since you don't need the unlock, that's ok to do on anything other than iPad2
