iWatch könnte von Breitling hergestellt werden

Gestern brach Re/Code das Eis um die und berichtete, dass Apple neben den iPhone 6 auch sein „upcoming wearable device“ präsentieren werde. Nun traut sich auch Bloomberg seine Informationen preis zu geben und bestätigt, dass Apple neben zwei verschiedenen Versionen auch die iWatch zur Keynote am 09. September bringen werde: „Apple will introduce a wearable gadget along with new iPhones on Sept. 9, a person with knowledge of the plans said.


Glaubt man Re/code hatte Apple ursprünglich geplant, die iWatch auf einem eigenen Event im Oktober zu präsentieren, doch dieser Plan wurde verworfen und man stellt die iWatch den beiden iPhones zur Seite. Bloomberg vermutet, dass Apple so die extrem hohen Erwartungen der Kunden, Börse und Fans etwas dämpfen kann, wenn man ein solches, tragbares iDevice eher als iPhone Accessoire, denn als einzelne Produktkategiroe präsentiert.

„Apple will give the new wearable a boost by pairing its debut with its flagship product, the iPhone. The company also may be trying to manage expectations for the new device, signaling that it's more of an accessory instead of a category that stands by itself. By contrast, when the iPad was introduced in 2010, Apple held a special event just for that product.“

Und in der Tat könnte man allein aufgrund des Aufwands, denn Apple betreibt um den Austragungsort der Keynote am 09.September 2014, Flint Center for the Performing Arts am De Anza College in Cupertino vor Blicken abzusichern davon ausgehen, dass Apple echte Highlights in petto hat.

Doch auch Aussagen von Tim Cook, dass man „really good stuff“ präsentieren werde und die „best product pipeline in 25 years“ kommen werde, wie Eddy Cue es nannte, heißen das Medieninteresse immer noch mehr auf.

Die iWatch dürfte also tatsächlich kommen. Wir sind gespannt, welchen Mehrwert sie zum iPhone bringt.
