iOS überholt Linux

Der Sprung kam im Juli, als das iPhone 4 für einen Sprung über 1 % sorgte, während Linux knapp unter 1 % absank. Im August konnte das iOS sich bereits 1,13 % Marktanteile sichern, Linux rutschte weiter ab auf 0,85 %. Mobile Betriebssysteme wie iOS, Symbian OS, RIM und belegen inzwischen 2,6 % aller Zugriffe auf das Internet, Android selbst hat nur 0,2 % der Marktanteile.

„It's something to take note of when a mobile operating system passes something that's been around forever,“ said Vince Vizzaccaro, a Net Applications vice president, talking about iOS overtaking Linux. „Mobile's growth curve is strong, and mobile is becoming quite a phenomenon on the Internet.“
