USA: AT&T kauft T-Mobile für 39 Milliarden Dollar

Die US-Amerikanischen Mobilfunkprovider AT&T und T-Mobile haben bekannt gegeben, dass T-Mobile USA (ein Tochterunternehmen der Deutschen Telekom) von AT&T übernommen wird.
Die neue Union, die in Blogs derzeit scherzhaft AT&T-Mobile oder AT&T&T genannt wird, wird damit zum neuen GSM/HSPA+ Monopol in den Vereinigten Staaten.
Bezahlt wird übrigens in Bar und Aktien im Gesamtwert von 39 Milliarden US-Dollar.

Für die Endkunden bedeutet die Fusion aber nicht nur die angekündigte Verbesserung der Netzqualität, sondern auch den Wegfall einer wichtigen KOnkurrenzsituation, die die Preise niedriger hielt.

T-Mobile soll übrigens eigenständig bleiben, und dadurch auch nicht in den Genuss des iPhone kommen:
