Wie Apple bereits bei der Vorstellung des Smartphones angekündigt hatte, will man den Vertrieb des iPhone 6 (Plus) noch in diesem Jahr ordentlich hochkurbeln und das Gerät bis Ende 2014 in 115 Länder bringen. Am 19. September startete der Verkauf dabei erst in ein paar wenigen Ländern, darunter auch Deutschland. Am 17. Oktober kommt dann auch Indien hinzu.

Am 17. Oktober ist es soweit und Apple wird das iPhone 6 (Plus) nicht nur in China, sondern auch Indien veröffentlichen. Wie die Kollegen von NDTV berichten, hat Apple den Verkaufsstart bereits offiziell bestätigt. Demnach wird das iPhone 6 mit 16 GB für 53.500 Rupie bzw. 692 Euro erscheinen. Das iPhone 6 Plus mit 16 GB erscheint für 62.500 Rupie, was umgerechnet 808 Euro sind.
“Orders for chipsets for production of the iPhone 6 devices in the first quarter of 2015 have exceeded 50 million units, according to an industry estimated. The order momentum for related chips for iPhone 6 devices in the first quarter of 2015 will be as strong as that in the fourth quarter of 2014, indicating strong market demand of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, said the industry sources.”
“Apple has asked chipset suppliers to prepare related chips for production of up to 200-250 million units of the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch, revealed the sources.”
Übrigens rechnet Apple auch im kommenden Jahr mit einer hohen Nachfrage bei den iPhone-6-Modellen. Wie Digitimes unter Berufung auf Zulieferer erklärte, will man im ersten Quartal 2015 gut 50 Millionen Chips für iPhone 6 und iPhone 6 Plus fertigen.
