iOS 7 Beta 2: iPad-Version, Hands-On, HDR, Voice-Memo und mehr
Gestern Abend war es wieder einmal so weit und Apple hat ein neues Software-Paket freigegeben. Dabei handelt es sich um die iOS 7 Beta 2, welche dieses Mal auch für das iPad offiziell zur Verfügung steht. Vor knapp zwei Wochen sah dies bei der ersten Beta-Version noch etwas anders aus, denn damals stand die Software nur für den iPod touch und das iPhone zum Download bereit.
iCloud Icon gesichtet
Beim Vorbeigehen am Moscone Center in San Francisco konnte Douglas Bowman bereits (durch die Glastüren) einen ersten Blick ins Innere werfen, und erspähte das Logo für den iCloud Streaming-Dienst, der in wenigen Tagen bei der WWDC vorgestellt werden soll:
Ein weiteres Bild, diesmal von AppleInsider, zeigt einen großen Banner mit "Lion + iOS 5 + iCloud = WWDC":
Wie sich herausstellt, tauchte die kleine Wolke bereits vor kurzem in Lion-Betaversionen auf:
A 9to5mac reader writes in telling us he/she’s found some interesting files in Lion. These files are labeled “MobileDocumentsFolder.icns, Mobile Documents 32.png and SidebarMobileDocumentsFolder.icns” and show new types of icons for a Cloud file system. Clearly, this would seem to be the successor to iDisk and is probably shows a more transparent interface between the desktop and the Cloud, perhaps a little more like Dropbox. We’re also thinking there is an iWork.com component as well since these are “documentsFolders”.

Fake Steve Jobs bekommt TV-Show

Dan Lyons ist, abgesehen von seinem Alter Ego, Tech-Kolumnen-Autor bei Newsweek, und hat durch seine Blog-Tätigkeit bei FakeSteve inzwischen sogar die Aufmerksamkeit von TV-Produzenten auf sich gezogen. Aus der Idee des satirischen Jobs-Immitators soll eine halbstündige TV-Show namens "iCON" sein, die das Leben in Silicon Valley auf die Kippe nimmt.
EPIX just signed on Emmy winning writer Larry Charles (“Seinfeld,†“Entourage,†“Curb Your Enthusiasmâ€) to create a new original comedy series about Silicon Valley. The show is going to be called "iCON" and it'll be a half-hour, single-camera style satire. Larry Charles will be directing the pilot and overseeing the script development, which is going to be written by Dan Lyons, tech columnist for Newsweek.
The show’s lead charcter, Tom Rhodes, is a composite of Jobs and other Silicon Valley titans, and the comedy is described as a savage satire, a study of ego, power and greed.
Larry Charles says: “We are attempting to do nothing less than a modern Citizen Kane. We needed a bold environment to nurture such a vision. One that was free of pre-conceived ideas. And EPIX made it clear they were that place. They asked us to make their home our home. And we have,†said Larry Charles.
